Parishes Encouraged to Apply for OCP Parish Grants, Now Through May 30
Saint Ann in Stamford was chosen from hundreds of applicants to receive an OCP Parish Grant in 2015. Applications for 2016 are now being accepted online at www.ocp.org/grantsthrough May 30.
Any Roman Catholic parish in the United States that was not an OCP grant recipient in the prior year may apply for a grant. Recipients of an OCP parish grant must use it for liturgy/musical purposes. A parish does not have to use an OCP worship program to qualify for a grant.
The use of the grant must be linked to liturgy/music. Many communities have used their grant to build or improve multicultural ministries, including training and worship materials in support of bilingual liturgies. Others uses include purchase or repair of musical instruments and equipment; attendance at or hosting of music/liturgy conferences or workshops; facility maintenance and improvements; music, hymnals and other worship materials; and online tools and other electronic resources in support of liturgy preparation. Recipients of the grants are announced each year in July. For additional information, please contact Rachel Martinez or Renée Underwood in the Office of Stewardship and Development, 806-792-3943.
