You may know that Raider Catholic is the largest organization on Texas Tech's campus. But did you know St. Elizabeth University Parish has supported the ministry for over eight decades! The Dominican Friars have been shepherding St. Elizabeth's since 2010. With the largest incoming freshmen class in Texas Tech's history and the opening of the new John Saleh Catholic Student Center, Raider Catholic will continue to grow.
Thanks to the DCA, this year, the Diocese of Lubbock was able to bring FOCUS missionaries to the South Plains. FOCUS, or Fellowship of Catholic University Students, sent missionaries (pictured left) to Raider Catholic to integrate with the students, build virtuous friendships, host Bible studies, and teach others to share Christ. Campus ministry is a priority to Bishop Coerver, and thousands of college students will benefit from these missionaries
Nationwide FOCUS has made an impact by sending more than 700 missionaries to 153 campuses, including 10 Texas schools. FOCUS can be found at many campuses thriving Catholic Communities have FOCUS at their school. On Texas Tech's campus, you can find the FOCUS missionaries meeting students and leading them to know, love, and serve the Lord.
St. Elizabeth's University parish supports the many ministries of Raider Catholic such as retreats, Bible studies, social events, study opportunities, service events, and faith formation activities.
Thanks to your Witness of God’s Love, Texas Tech students can continue their faith journey!
