This morning as I was filing, deleting and prioritizing my e-mails I came across an e-mail from Dynamic Catholic dot com. Dynamic Catholic is a company run by Matthew Kelly. That Australian evangelizer, Matthew Kelly. Author of the Best Selling book "Rediscovering Catholicism", Matthew Kelly. The I-wouldn't-be-married-if-it-wasn't-for-Matthew-Kelly, Matthew Kelly. That guy. And while I love his evangelization methods, (books, CDs, videos, catechesis, etc.) today I wanted to put off reading his e-mail. I'm sure it was the sin of sloth that had me under its control at that moment. You know, that DEADLY SIN of sloth. Just that little thing. So I skipped the e-mail and went on to a more important e-mail. I literally said in my head, "I'll get to that later." As I'm reading what I think is important I cannot concentrate because I know I just missed out on hearing the voice of God. And I'm reminded that God would never say, "I'll get to you later". I'm always on His mind. He's always taking care of me. But here I am, a sinner, thinking that I can't spend 2 minutes with Him and His word. Major fail. Or in twitter speak: #failwhale Consider this a reminder: God doesn't put you off. He isn't delaying any part of your journey towards Him. He wants to be in an intimate relationship with you today, right now.
My challenge for you today: Stop putting off your relationship with God. Put Him first. You will not be disappointed. Your Steward in Christ, Rachel
