        PreK-12

        Founded: 1957

Christ the King School was established in 1957. When the Diocese of Lubbock was formed from the Diocese of Amarillo in 1983, Christ the King parish became the cathedral parish. At that time the name was changed to Christ the King Cathedral School. Currently, the school operates a full, accredited curriculum ranging from pre-K through 12th grade.

Christ the King School offers a nurturing environment and a distinctive education that aims to give students the formation necessary to lead a full and active Christian life. This distinctiveness is characterized by a common core of beliefs that generate a community permeated by the Spirit of Love.

We integrate the teachings of the Catholic Church and create a Christian atmosphere that incorporates Gospel values into daily life. We give expression to our faith in the form of liturgy, prayer and service. We express concern for others with a focus on social justice and reach out in faith to those in need in our community.

Christ the King School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference of Accreditation Commission (TCCAC). The TCCAC designs and accredits Texas Catholic Schools. The TCCAC is an approved Texas Private School Accreditation body and carries the Texas Education Agency (TEA) endorsement.

Our goal is to help children develop skills that will enable them to become self-confident, caring citizens of the world, where intellectual, moral, physical and spiritual growth can take place on an individual basis. To discover his or her own unique talent, each child needs to be exposed to experiences pertaining to all facets of life. Freedom within limits leads children to responsible choices, self-disciple, and self esteem. Create an environment where children have the desire to excel at their own pace. Additionally, create an environment where parents have the desire to learn and teach with their children.

St. Joseph School is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference of Accreditation Commission (TCCAC). The TCCAC is an approved Texas Private School Accreditation body and carries the Texas Education Agency(TEA) endorsement.
